Eleutheria, the man who created everything, has warned him in a dream that he is about to die. Is it because of his secret? Semyon is addicted to rotten fruit, the pungent, fermented, but illegal kind. After landing a dream job as assistant governor, an inexplicable string of catastrophes leave him homeless and destitute as his problem continues to get worse. Semyon seeks out lions, leopards, and jaguars, trying to change his stripes and line up with their differing beliefs about Eleutheria, but to no avail.

He finally finds the Serenids, a group dedicated to helping addicts, and he begins to recover. Then he learns that Le, the evil black dog, is planning to lead an invasion of Paradox Jungle. It falls on him to lead the defense of the jungle, but how will anyone unite the different species of cats since they hate each other, especially Semyon, the jungle drunk? PARADOX JUNGLE is the ANIMAL FARM of addiction, but it is more. It is a unique work of literary fiction exposing the spiritual bankruptcy of the modern American church, and it also touches on science, creation, metaphysics, and the end of the world.
